Pavlos is currently an Associate Professor of Tourism and Aviation Management at Edinburgh Napier University, United Kingdom. He also joined the Tourism Research Centre (TRC) which is extremely active and engaging with local and national stakeholders in the wider field of tourism.
Prior to that role, he was Senior Lecturer in Aviation Management at the University of Bedfordshire, Luton, United Kingdom. He has also worked as Senior Lecturer in Tourism and Air Travel Management at Solent University, Southampton, United Kingdom between 2015 to 2021. He got his PhD in Economic Geography, Tourism and Air Transport (airports) from the University of the Aegean, Greece. He studied at Bournemouth University, United Kingdom MSc in Tourism Management and Planning and his first degree was in Tourism Management at the Technlological Education Institute, Larissa, Greece.
He has worked for an incoming tour operator and a regional Italian carrier as a graduate. During his doctoral studies he offered consultancy services to SMEs in tourism and hospitality sector and offered consultancy services to Local Authorities and Professional Bodies. At the same time, he embarked on academia, teaching at some Universities in Greece at undergraduate and postgraduate courses. He has published and presented his research in several academic journals and conferences.
